| I am a fan of Coben's "non-Bolitor" novels -- so I thought I'd try this one. What a stunning disappointment! I can't believe Coben wrote this. It has none of his plot twists, suspense, tension, characterization. Instead, Coben has given us sophomoric humor, a juvenile writing style, a plot that threatens to fall of its own weight before it unwinds, and a hugely forgettable lead character. This isn't just disappointing. Since it's marketed as one of Coben's best, it amounts to consumer fraud. |

Mryon Bolitar does not stop to amaze me. The credit goes to Harlen Coben for his latest flicker "darkest fear". This time, Myron is been entrapped in his own emotional shell when he learns about his son. His son will die if he does not get a bone marrow transplant. But, the person whose bone marrow matches has disappeared. Now, its upto Myron and Win to get the guy back else his son will die. This plot leads to a thicker web when myron accidentally comes across a serial killer. Now, the cops, FBI and an privately guarded millionarie family ia after myron.
The book is excellent and very witty. I seems to love this guy more with every series. Watch out for myron. You won't like to miss this. |

| It was with great sadness that I read this book because it represents the last Myron Bolitar book written thus far (Hint: Please bring Myron back, Harlan!). This book, with all the regular cast, did not disappoint. Myron is contacted by an old lover, informing him that her thirteen year old son needs a bone marrow transplant and that the donor has disappeared. In the search for the donor, Myron's path crosses the unsolved case of a serial killer who has been at work. Enter the F.B.I. and you have the makings of a mystery that ends with many twists in the path to the finish. Hurry Back, Myron! |
